Description
A vintage cardboard box of The Union Metallic Cartridge Co. .22 Caliber Long Rim-Fire Metallic Cartridges. Originally containing 50 cartridges, this box now contains 32 rounds. Manufactured by The Union Metallic Cartridge Co. of Bridgeport, Conn., U.S.A. The top label prominently features the company name, cartridge type, and “TRADE U MARK” logo. The bottom label contains a “GUARANTEE” statement listing compatible firearms from manufacturers such as Smith & Wesson, Colt’s, Winchester, and Remington.
Condition report:
The cardboard box exhibits significant age and wear, including extensive surface abrasion, discoloration, and paper loss to the exterior. The metallic cartridges show considerable signs of age and deterioration, with visible oxidation and corrosion on the bullet tips and some discoloration on the casings. Some individual cartridge bases display a clear \'U\' marking.
