Description
A vintage cardboard box containing 48 rounds of Central Fire Cartridges for .32 Cal. S.&W. firearms, manufactured by The Western Cartridge Company of East Alton, Ill., U.S.A. The box features a green and red paper label with a ‘Western’ diamond logo, specifying ‘Nublend Powder’ and ’85 Gr. Bullet,’ and side labels noting ‘CENTRAL FIRE’ and ‘INSIDE LUBRICATED.’ The brass-cased, lead-bullet cartridges display headstamps such as ‘W.C.CO. 32 S.&W.’
Condition report:
The utilitarian paper-covered cardboard box shows significant signs of age and wear, including tears, creases, and discoloration on its exterior. Inside, the brass-cased, lead-bullet cartridges exhibit varying degrees of tarnish and oxidation, with one loose cartridge and one casing missing a primer. Good overall condition commensurate with age and use.
