Description
A Marlin Firearms Co. Model 1895M lever-action rifle, chambered in .450 Marlin, featuring an 18″ barrel. The rifle is constructed with blued metal components for the barrel, receiver, and operating lever, complemented by wooden furniture for the forestock and buttstock. Both wooden sections exhibit checkered patterns on their gripping surfaces and are finished in a medium brown tone. The buttstock terminates in a black rubber recoil pad adorned with a circular emblem depicting a figure on horseback. Visible markings on the barrel include “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT, U.S.A.” and “MODEL 1895M CAL. 450 MARLIN,” along with a safety warning. The serial number “92000240” is present on the tang.
Condition report:
Good overall condition, showing some minor scuffs, finish wear, and handling marks consistent with use on both the wood and blued metal surfaces, particularly on the buttstock and forestock.
