Vintage Remington Model 14R Pump-Action Takedown Rifle, .35 REM, 20" Barrel
Description
A vintage Remington Model 14R pump-action takedown rifle, chambered in .35 REM, featuring a 20″ barrel. Constructed from blued steel and dark stained wood for the stock and ribbed fore-end. The barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., REMINGTON ILION WORKS. ILION N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.”, “PEDERSEN’S PATENTS” with dates from 1909-1913, “Remington” and “TRADE MARK” script, and “.35 REM” caliber designation alongside an “REP” proof mark. The left side of the receiver bears the “MODEL 14R” designation and serial number “118458”. A distinctive spiral-fluted magazine tube is present beneath the barrel. A worn leather sling is attached. The steel butt plate features a circular “REMINGTON UMC TRADE MARK” logo.
Condition report:
The rifle is in good to fair used condition, displaying typical bluing loss, surface scratches, and minor dents consistent with its age and use. The stock has a crack. The attached leather sling shows wear.
