Description
A Browning BAR semi-automatic sporting rifle, featuring a blued metal finish on the 24″ barrel and receiver, complemented by a checkered wooden stock and fore-end. The rifle’s receiver is ornately decorated with gold-tone engraving, depicting a bear head on one side and a ram’s head on the other, both surrounded by intricate scrolling patterns, and it has a gold-finished trigger. Visible markings on the barrel include “BAR CALIBER 7mm. Rem. Mag. ONLY”, “BROWNING PATENTS”, “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.”, and “MADE IN BELGIUM”, along with a “B” in a circle proof mark. The serial number “10282 M72” is present on the receiver. Mounted on the rifle is a black variable power scope marked “3X-9X Redfield”, showing a clear crosshair reticle. A black rifle sling is also included.
Condition report:
Good overall condition, consistent with light to moderate use. The wooden stock and fore-end exhibit minor scratches and wear. The blued finish shows minimal signs of use. The scope optics are clear.
