A Collection of Five Budweiser® Endangered Species Series Lidded Steins
Description
A collection of five Budweiser® Endangered Species Series lidded steins, manufactured by Ceramarte in Brazil expressly for Anheuser-Busch, Inc. This lot comprises three steins presented in their original cardboard boxes, identified as “AFRICAN ELEPHANT STEIN,” “GRIZZLY BEAR STEIN,” and “ASIAN TIGER STEIN.” The two unboxed steins depict a “COUGAR” and a “GRAY WOLF.” All steins feature colorful relief images of the respective animals against naturalistic backdrops. Each stein is fitted with a hinged pewter-tone metal lid, bearing “ENDANGERED SPECIES” and “BUDWEISER®” branding. The bases of the unboxed steins are marked with “Handcrafted Expressly For Anheuser-Busch, Inc.”, specific animal names, copyright dates of 1993 and 1994, and unique production numbers (44245 for the Cougar, 57724 for the Gray Wolf). The Cougar stein’s base also features a “NATIONAL WILDLIFE FEDERATION” logo. Two “Certificate of Authenticity” papers for “BUDWEISER® LIMITED EDITION LIDDED STEIN” are included with the lot.
Condition report:
Excellent condition overall. The three boxed steins appear to be in new, unused condition, with minor wear consistent with age and storage to their original cardboard packaging. The two unboxed steins are also in excellent, clean condition with no apparent damage, chips, cracks, or repairs.
