Description
A Colt Gold Cup Trophy 1911-style Series 70 semi-automatic pistol. Presented in a modern Series 70 configuration, the pistol features a stainless finish and a 5-inch “NM” barrel. It is fitted with distinctive blue and black textured grip panels. Markings include “COLT GOLD CUP TROPHY” with a trophy emblem on the left side of the slide, “COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL” on the right side of the slide, and “COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” with serial number “GCX17174″ on the frame. The pistol is equipped with a red fiber optic front sight and an adjustable black rear sight. It is accompanied by its original blue plastic hard case, labeled as Model Q5070GCL, which specifies ‘GOLD CUP LITE, 5” NM BARREL, .45 ACP, SERIES 70, Model O’ and matching serial number GCX17174. Also included are a single magazine marked ‘.45 ACP’, a ‘COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL MKIV Series 70/Model O’ safety and instruction manual, and a cable lock.
Condition report:
Excellent overall condition. The pistol shows minimal signs of handling or use. The stainless finish is bright and largely unblemished. The grip panels are intact. The bore appears clean. The accompanying case, magazine, manual, and cable lock are also in excellent condition.
