A Group of Four Vintage Peters High Velocity 250 Savage Ammunition Boxes, 80 Rounds
Description
A group of four vintage Peters High Velocity 250 Savage ammunition boxes, containing a total of 80 rounds. The cardboard boxes feature a blue, red, and yellow design, prominently marked “Peters,” “HIGH VELOCITY,” “250 SAVAGE,” and “DuPont.” Three of the boxes are labeled “100 GR. INNER-BELTED SOFT POINT BULLET” (Product No. 2568), while one box is labeled “87 GRAIN SOFT POINT BULLET” (Product No. 2572). Each box is marked “20 CENTER FIRE SMOKELESS CARTRIDGES” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” One box top shows “AMMUNITION” on its flap. Two boxes are open, displaying the unfired brass cartridges, which appear to be in good condition. The cartridges display headstamps such as “PETERS 250 HP” or “PETERS 250 SAVAGE.”
Condition report:
Boxes exhibit considerable age and wear, including discoloration, edge fraying, and some material loss on one side panel. One box has a partially legible handwritten price tag. The unfired brass cartridges inside appear to be in good condition.
