Four Boxes of Vintage Winchester Super-Speed and Western Super-X .222 Remington Ammunition
Description
This lot presents four vintage-style yellow cardboard boxes of centerfire rifle cartridges. The top two boxes are branded “WINCHESTER SUPER-SPEED” and the bottom two “Western SUPER-X”. All boxes uniformly state they contain “.222 REMINGTON, 50 GRAIN PTD. SOFT POINT” ammunition, with caliber codes “W222R” or “222R”. Each box features red and blue text, a vertical “WARNING Keep out of reach of children” label, and price stickers indicating “$35.00”. The accompanying cartridges, displayed in a white plastic tray, are brass-cased with copper-jacketed pointed soft point bullets, exhibiting headstamps such as “.222 REM”, “REM-UMC”, and “SUPER-X”.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging shows visible wear, creasing, and some discoloration consistent with age and storage. The individual cartridges appear to be in good, unfired condition.
