Smith & Wesson Highway Patrolman Revolver, .38 W.C.F.
Description
A Smith & Wesson Highway Patrolman large-frame revolver, chambered in .38 W.C.F. The revolver features a high-gloss blued steel finish on its frame, barrel, and cylinder, complemented by checkered wooden grips with embedded Smith & Wesson medallions. Markings on the right side of the barrel identify it as “.38W.C.F. HIGHWAY PATROLMAN,” while the left side is marked “SMITH & WESSON.” The right side of the frame displays the “TRADE MARK REG.U.S. PAT.OFF.” logo and “MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS.” The hammer and trigger exhibit a contrasting case-hardened finish. The front sight features a red/pink insert, and the rear sight is adjustable. It is equipped with a six-shot cylinder. Serial or assembly numbers visible include “N 159958,” and “41145” on the crane and frame. The revolver is presented in a black zippered “Allen” brand soft case.
Condition report:
Very good to excellent condition. The blued finish retains a high gloss with minimal visible wear, consistent with light use. The wooden grips are intact with crisp checkering and well-preserved medallions. The case-hardened finish on the hammer and trigger is well-preserved. Mechanically sound with crisp action.
