It features a 24″ octagonal blued barrel and full-length tubular magazine, paired with a metal receiver, trigger guard, and lever, and completed by a wooden buttstock and forend. Key visible markings on the barrel include “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED OCTOBER 14, 1884.” and the caliber “44 W.C.F.”. The tang is marked “MODEL 1892 – WINCHESTER – TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. & FGN”, and the serial number “880170” is present on the underside of the receiver. Notable condition issues include a crack in the buttstock and a repair on the foregrip on the left side.

Condition report:

The rifle is in well-used, aged condition. There is considerable loss of bluing and finish across all metal components, with visible surface oxidation and light pitting. The wooden buttstock and forend exhibit numerous scratches, dents, and areas of finish loss, indicative of extensive handling and age. A notable crack is present in the buttstock. There is a visible repair on the left side of the foregrip.
