Description
A Winchester Model 1894 lever-action rifle, featuring a blued steel finish on the barrel, receiver, and lever, complemented by a wood stock and fore-end. The receiver is marked “MODEL 1894”, “WINCHESTER”, and “TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF & FGN”. The barrel is marked “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED AUGUST 21. 1894.”, “NICKEL STEEL BARREL”, “ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER”, and “32 W.S.” (caliber). The serial number “796133” is visible near the receiver. A faint “A” is present on the blued steel butt plate.
Condition report:
The item is in good, used condition, displaying some finish wear on metal parts, particularly the butt plate, and minor handling marks on the wood surfaces consistent with its age.
