Description
A Weatherby Vanguard VGX Deluxe bolt-action sporter rifle, chambered in 7MM REM. MAG. The rifle features a high-gloss, figured wood stock with a Monte Carlo comb, checkered pistol grip, and a contrasting forend tip. The barrel and receiver are constructed of blued steel. Visible markings on the receiver include “VANGUARD®”, “MADE IN JAPAN”, “by Weatherby”, “SOUTH GATE, CALIFORNIA”, the serial number “V55436”, and “PAT. PEND.”. The caliber is clearly marked as “7MM REM. MAG.”. The rifle is fitted with a black Weatherby Premier 3X-9X40 telescopic sight, marked “MADE IN JAPAN”, mounted with LEUPOLD branded rings, and displaying a duplex crosshair reticle through the eyepiece. The textured brown rubber/plastic butt plate is embossed with a “Weatherby” logo and “MADE IN U.S.A.”.
Condition report:
The wood stock is in very good condition with minor surface wear. The blued barrel exhibits significant scratches, finish loss, and general wear. The receiver shows lighter cosmetic wear. The scope is in good overall condition.
