Description
A Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle, chambered in .25-20 W.C.F. caliber. Constructed from blued steel and dark hardwood. The barrel is marked “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED OCTOBER 14. 1884.” and “25-20 W.C.F.”. The receiver is marked “MODEL 1892” and “WINCHESTER TRADE MARK”. The serial number “432651” is stamped on the underside of the receiver, indicating a manufacturing date of circa 1908.
Condition report:
The metal components exhibit extensive bluing loss, presenting a variegated brown and grey patina with scattered surface wear and minor marks. The dark wood stock and forend show numerous scuffs, dents, and areas of finish wear, but appear largely intact with no obvious major cracks. Mechanical condition is not guaranteed and should be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to use.
