Lot 488:
Description
A Winchester Model 1894 Reloading Tool. This vintage, lever-operated hand tool is constructed entirely of ferrous metal. It features a utilitarian design with a prominent lever handle, a main body secured by a flat-head screw, and a knurled end. Visible markings indicate it was “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REP. ARMS CO / NEW HAVEN, CT. U.S.A.” and “PAT. FEBRUARY 13, 1894”, placing its origin in the late 19th century. Further text reads “MCD 1894” and “30 W.C.F.”, confirming its intended use with .30 Winchester Center Fire cartridges.
Condition report:
Good antique condition, commensurate with age and extensive use. Significant wear, surface rust, and pitting are present across all metal components. The overall structure appears intact.
