Description
A Remington Model 14 pump-action rifle, manufactured by Remington Arms Co. Inc. at their Ilion Works in Ilion, N.Y., USA. This rifle features a blued steel receiver, barrel, and action components, complemented by a solid wood stock and a distinctive ribbed wood fore-end. It is chambered in .30 REM. and bears the serial number 115587. The barrel is marked with “REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. REMINGTON ILION WORKS, ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.” and “PEDERSEN’S PATENTS” along with several patent numbers, including one dated “PATD. NOV. 5, 1918,” indicating early 20th-century production. The rifle is equipped with a Lyman adjustable rear sight and a steel buttplate. It has a 22″ BARREL and includes an aged leather sling.
Condition report:
The firearm exhibits significant wear to the bluing, with areas of thinning and patina on the metal surfaces. The wooden components show numerous scratches and minor dents consistent with use and age. There is a CRACK IN THE BUTTSTOCK. Overall, the condition is good to fair.
