The box, produced by Remington Arms Company Inc. in Bridgeport, Conn. U.S.A. (also noting London), indicates 230 GRS. metal-cased bullets with an 800 feet muzzle velocity, and includes warnings about “Oilproof” cartridges, “MARQUE DÉPOSÉE” (Registered Trademark in French), and “MARCA REG.” (Registered Trademark in Spanish). The box contains 39 brass-cased, lead-bullet cartridges. Accompanying this is a modern RCBS “Precisioneered Reloading Dies” bright green plastic storage case, marked “RCBS,” “PRECISIONEERED® Reloading Dies,” and “OMARK® INDUSTRIES Sporting Equipment Division.” The third item is a vintage Smith & Wesson blue cardboard box, displaying the S&W monogram logo and “Smith & Wesson S. & W. F. A. PLANT & RIFLE COMPANY Springfield, Mass.” text.
Condition report:
The Remington-UMC ammunition box is severely worn and discolored. The cartridges within exhibit tarnish. The RCBS plastic case is in good condition with minor surface scuffs. The Smith & Wesson blue cardboard box shows moderate wear and scuffing consistent with its apparent age.
