Description
A partially filled, vintage cardboard ammunition box, originally for 20 rounds of .30 Winchester Caliber Model 1894 Smokeless Soft Point cartridges, manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Co., New Haven, Conn., U.S.A. The box is constructed of cardboard with orange and tan paper labels. Visible text includes “.30 Winchester Caliber Model 1894,” “Smokeless Cartridges. Soft Point. Winchester Make,” and references to Winchester, Marlin, and Savage firearms, along with a “CAUTION” notice. Inside, 8 live rounds with mixed headstamps are present, contained within original cardboard dividers.
Condition report:
The cardboard box is heavily worn, exhibiting tears, staining, and discoloration. The paper labels are also heavily worn and discolored. The 8 live rounds appear to be in good, aged condition despite the box\'s poor external state.
