Browning BAR Semi-Automatic Rifle, 7mm Rem. Mag., with Scope and Spare Stock
Description
A Browning BAR semi-automatic rifle, chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag. The rifle is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. MADE IN BELGIUM ASSEMBLED PORTUGAL,” “BAR CALIBER 7mm. Rem. Mag. ONLY,” and “BROWNING PATENTS,” featuring visible Belgian proof marks and serial number “137RN15148.” Constructed from blued steel and checkered dark wood for the stock and forend. It is currently fitted with a Styrka 3-9×40 rifle scope, marked “Made in China,” mounted in black rings. The lot includes a spare matching checkered wood buttstock with a Browning-branded recoil pad, and a black Styrka brand scope cover.
Condition report:
The rifle is in fair to good condition. Showing significant surface rust on the barrel. Bluing wear is present on the receiver and other metal components. Various scratches, finish loss, and minor chipping are observed on the wood furniture, particularly where the stock meets the receiver. The scope appears to have a clear reticle.
