Description
A SAKO L61R Finnbear bolt-action rifle, chambered in .25-06 caliber, featuring a 24″ barrel. The rifle is constructed with a high-gloss polished hardwood stock, likely birch or maple, which includes finely checkered panels on the forend and pistol grip. Metal components, including the barrel and receiver, exhibit a deep blued finish, contrasted by a bright polished steel bolt. Visible markings on the barrel/receiver include “SAKO Cal. .25-06”, “FINNBEAR”, and “MADE IN FINLAND”, along with the serial number “L61R No. 73329 AV” on the receiver. The barrel is also marked “THE GARCIA CORP. WASH. D.C.”, indicating the importer. The magazine floorplate is decorated with an engraved motif depicting a deer or antelope head with prominent horns. The rifle is fitted with a textured brown rubber buttplate, marked “SAKO Suomi FINLAND”.
Condition report:
Excellent condition with minor handling marks consistent with light use. The blued finish remains deep and consistent across metal components. The hardwood stock shows minimal wear. The bore was not inspected.
