Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, .25-35 WCF
Description
A Winchester Model 1894 lever-action rifle, chambered in .25-35 W.C.F. The rifle features a blued metal barrel and receiver, with a wooden buttstock and fore-end. Markings on the receiver include “MODEL 1894 -WINCHESTER- TRADE MARK”. The top of the barrel is marked “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED AUGUST 21, 1894.”. The left side of the barrel bears the inscription “NICKEL STEEL BARREL / ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER” and “25-35 W.C.F.”. The serial number “370753” is present on the underside of the receiver. It is equipped with a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight, and features a metal buttplate.
Condition report:
Overall condition shows significant wear consistent with age and use. Metal components exhibit substantial finish loss, heavy patination, and areas of surface oxidation. The wooden furniture displays numerous scratches, dents, and areas of finish wear.
