Vintage Remington UMC .32 S. & W. Central Fire 88 Grain 50 Rounds Ammunition Box
Description
A vintage cardboard box containing 50 .32 S. & W. central fire cartridges, manufactured by The Remington Arms Union Metallic Cartridge Company in Bridgeport, Conn., U.S.A. The box originally featured paper labels indicating “REMINGTON U.M.C.” branding and the statement “THESE CARTRIDGES ARE MADE ACCORDING TO THE SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS OF SMITH & WESSON AND THEIR USE,” with a bullet weight of 88 GRS. Inside, 50 brass-cased cartridges with lead bullets are neatly arranged within their original cardboard tray. Each cartridge bears “REM-UMC” and “.32 S & W” headstamps.
Condition report:
The original cardboard box and its paper labels are severely deteriorated, exhibiting extensive tearing, creasing, staining, and discoloration. The 50 brass-cased cartridges show some expected tarnishing and oxidation consistent with age, but otherwise appear well-preserved.
