Description
A Colt New Army Double Action Revolver, caliber .38, constructed of blued steel with checkered wooden grips. The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT. D.A. 38” and “PAT’D AUG. 5. 84. NOV. 6. 88. MAR. 5. 95.” The grips feature a silver-colored medallion displaying “COLT” with a rearing horse logo. Visible internal markings on the crane include “U” above “872”, which also appears on the cylinder release mechanism.
Condition report:
The revolver exhibits significant wear, extensive loss of its original blued finish, and widespread surface corrosion or pitting across the metal components. The wooden grips show age-appropriate wear but remain structurally sound.
