Description
This lot comprises 150 rounds of vintage .38 Special ammunition. It includes one significantly worn, partially open, yellow and blue cardboard box explicitly labeled “Western 50 CARTRIDGES 38 Special Lubaloy (LUBRICATING ALLOY) NON-CORROSIVE PRIMING 158 GRAIN COATED BULLET,” alongside two smaller, generic cardboard boxes filled with loose rounds. The ammunition consists of a mixed assortment of brass-cased cartridges with lead or coated lead bullets. Various headstamps are present, including “WESTERN 38 SPECIAL,” “UMC 38 SPL,” “REM-UMC 38 SPL,” and “SUPER-X 38 SPECIAL.”
Condition report:
Fair to poor, consistent with age. The branded cardboard packaging is heavily creased, torn, and discolored. The cartridges exhibit varying degrees of tarnishing, oxidation, and corrosion, including visible green verdigris and white powdery residue on some casings and bullets.
