Brand Used Test
Lot 1237:
Description
A group of three vintage Western Super-X .257 Roberts center fire ammunition boxes, featuring classic mid-20th century branding. The uppermost box, marked ’87 GRAIN SOFT POINT Lubaloy BULLET’, is open and contains 20 brass-cased cartridges with copper-jacketed bullets, alongside an internal cardboard tray. The exposed end flap of this box displays the number ‘2571’. The two lower boxes, marked ‘100 GRAIN OP. PT. EXP. Lubaloy BULLET’, appear factory-sealed in clear plastic shrink wrap. All boxes are marked ’20’ for quantity and specify ‘NON-CORROSIVE PRIMING—SMOKELESS POWDER’.
Condition report:
The open box exhibits significant wear, creasing, and discoloration to its cardboard packaging. The cartridges within show surface tarnish. The two factory-sealed boxes are in better preserved condition, though the underlying cardboard shows age-related discoloration and minor edge wear. Overall good vintage condition commensurate with age and storage.
