13 Live Rounds of Vintage Dominion 6.5 M/M Soft Point High Velocity Ammunition for Mannlicher-Schönauer Rifles
Description
This lot comprises 13 live rounds of vintage “Dominion” brand 6.5 M/M Soft Point High Velocity ammunition. The ammunition was manufactured by Canadian Industries Limited (Dominion Ammunition Division) in Montreal, Canada. The cartridges are housed in their original yellow and dark blue cardboard box, which features an illustration of a bullet and various specifications. The box originally contained “TWENTY” 160 grain “SUPER-CLEAN” “SMOKELESS” cartridges, adapted for Gibbs and 6.5 M/M (or .256) Mannlicher-Schönauer Rifles Model 1903. Visible handwritten notes and stickers on the front of the box indicate “13 Rounds,” and include “MANNLICh Schoen-Ader” (Mannlicher-Schönauer), “4000,” and “320.” Inside the box, the 13 brass-cased cartridges are present in their original cardboard tray, each headstamped “DOMINION 6.5 M/M” with primers of varying colors.
Condition report:
The cardboard box is in worn condition, exhibiting noticeable creasing, tears, and discoloration, particularly along the edges and corners. The 13 brass-cased cartridges appear to be in relatively good, albeit aged, condition.
