An antique Smith & Wesson Model No. 1, 2nd Issue Tip-Up Revolver, manufactured between 1860 and 1868. This firearm is constructed primarily of blued steel or iron with dark wooden grip panels, featuring a single brass-rimmed, ivory-colored escutcheon on the left side. Characterized by a visible hammer and a multi-chambered cylinder, typically a 7-shot .22 Short caliber.

Condition report:

The firearm exhibits considerable wear consistent with age and use. There is significant loss of its original blued finish, revealing a mottled grey patina across the metal surfaces. Numerous surface scratches are present, along with areas of minor pitting. The brass-colored accents around the frame show wear. The wooden grips display handling marks and minor abrasions. Mechanical function has not been tested.
