Description
A vintage rectangular cardboard ammunition box, labeled for “50 .32 Police COLT CENTRAL FIRE POSITIVE CARTRIDGES” and manufactured by “THE UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE Co., BRIDGEPORT, CONN. U.S.A.” The top label features a prominent “UMC” logo, depicts a “.32 COLT NEW POLICE” cartridge, and details “13 GRS POWDER” and “98 GR. BULLET.” A side label clearly specifies “BLACK POWDER,” further indicating its period, and other partial labels reference suitability for “.32 Colt New Police Double Action Revolvers” and “Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector Revolvers.” Inside, it contains fifty brass-cased, lead-bullet cartridges.
