Vintage Winchester Super Speed 20 Gauge Shotgun Shells, 25 Live Rounds in Original Box
Description
A vintage cardboard box of Winchester “Super W Speed” 20 gauge shotgun shells, containing 25 live rounds. The box, appearing to be from the mid-20th century, features prominent branding “WINCHESTER” and “SUPER W SPEED,” with additional text “LONG RANGE-SHORT SHOT STRING,” “Progressive Burning Smokeless Powder,” “STAYNLESS,” and “MADE IN U. S. A.” Key specifications are visible: “25 20 GA. 2¾ DRAMS EQUIV. 1 OZ. 4 SHOT 2¾ INCH.” An inner flap depicts Winchester Model 12, 97, and 21 shotguns, alongside the declaration “More than 10,000,000 Winchester Guns and Rifles Have been Sold.” The un-fired shotgun shells inside have red-brown paper hulls and brass bases, each marked “SUPER SPEED” and “20.”
Condition report:
The cardboard box exhibits significant age and wear, including discoloration, scuffs, creases, and a torn interior flap. The contained shells are in good apparent condition with minor brass tarnishing.
