Brand Used Test
Lot 1357:
Description
The lot comprises five vintage cardboard boxes of .250 Savage center fire rifle cartridges, containing a total of 94 rounds. Brands include Winchester and Western, featuring product lines such as “Super Speed,” “Super-X,” and “Silvertip.” Visible markings indicate various bullet specifications, including “87 Grain Soft Point” and “100 Grain Expanding,” and mentions of “Lubaloy Bullet,” “Non-Corrosive Priming,” and “Stainless – Non Mercuric” primers, alongside “Made in U.S.A.” The packaging design, typography, and color schemes suggest a mid-20th century period. Two boxes are open to display their contents, each containing 20 brass-cased cartridges, uniformly headstamped “SUPER-X 250 SAVAGE.” One opened box contains copper-colored pointed soft-point bullets, and the other contains silver-colored pointed bullets.
Condition report:
All cartridges appear to be in excellent, unfired condition. The boxes exhibit minor shelf wear, creasing, and discoloration consistent with their age.
