A Smith & Wesson .45 Caliber Model 1950 Double-Action Revolver, with 4 5/8" Barrel
Description
A double-action revolver, likely mid-20th century in style, constructed of blued steel with varnished wooden grip panels. The barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON” and “45 CAL. MODEL 1950”. The frame bears the Smith & Wesson “TRADE MARK” logo along with “REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.” and manufacturing details: “MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD. MASS.” The serial number “S 123083” is present on the butt and cylinder crane. Additional internal markings “8707” and “9L” are noted on the crane and cylinder.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. The blued finish shows general wear, minor scratches, and handling marks, particularly on the barrel and cylinder. The varnished wooden grips are largely intact with minor surface wear.
