Description
A Marlin Model 1894 Cowboy II lever-action rifle, also marked “1894 COWBOY LIMITED” on the barrel, chambered in .44-40 Winchester. This rifle features a blued steel finish and an American walnut checkered stock and fore-end. The barrel is a 24-inch octagon type, paired with a tubular magazine, identified on the accompanying box label as a 10-shot capacity. Markings include “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT, U.S.A.,” “MODEL 1894CBJ-CAL. 44-40 WIN.,” a “JM” proof mark, and serial number “02009757” on the receiver. The rifle is accompanied by its original manufacturer’s cardboard box (Model 94CBII444), owner’s manual, a red cable gun lock, an offset hammer spur, and various other accessories still in sealed packaging.
Condition report:
Excellent overall apparent condition, exhibiting no significant signs of wear or use. Appears unfired. The original manufacturer\'s cardboard box shows minor shelf wear consistent with storage.
