Description
A late 19th-century Lightning pump-action rifle by Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company, Hartford, CT, U.S.A., featuring a 26″ octagonal barrel and chambered in .32 Cal. Constructed of blued steel and wood, it features an exposed hammer and tubular magazine. The barrel is stamped with patent dates ranging from May 29, 1883, to February 22, 1887. The receiver bears the serial number O 88664.
Condition report:
Heavily used condition. Metal components show significant finish loss, patination, and surface corrosion. The wooden stock exhibits numerous dents, scratches, and a noticeable crack in the buttstock. Mechanical functionality has not been tested.
