Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 .270 Win. Bolt-Action Hunting Rifle with 24" Barrel
Description
A Winchester Model 70 bolt-action hunting rifle, chambered in .270 Win. The rifle features a 24″ blued steel barrel and action, paired with a dark-grained wood stock. The stock is enhanced with checkered panels on the forend and pistol grip. The receiver bears the serial number 515096. Barrel markings include “MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA,” “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL,” and “MODEL-70 – 270 WIN.” It is fitted with a vintage Weaver K4 scope, marked “WEAVER K4 NO. 2915 MADE IN EL PASO, TEX. U.S.A.,” mounted on a Buehler base, marked “BUEHLER ORINDA, CAL.” The buttstock terminates in a composite buttplate with a white and black spacer.
Condition report:
The rifle presents as a used vintage firearm. There is visible wear to the bluing on metal components, consistent with age and use. The wood stock exhibits minor surface marks. The composite buttplate shows wear. The scope\'s crosshair reticle appears clear.
