Description
A High Standard Model A .22 LR caliber semi-automatic pistol. Manufactured by The High Standard Mfg. Co., New Haven, Conn. The pistol features a blued metal finish and checkered wooden grips. Markings on the slide and frame include ‘HI-STANDARD MODEL ‘A”, ‘THE HIGH STANDARD MFG. CO., NEW HAVEN, CONN.’, ‘.22 CAL. LONG RIFLE’, and ‘PATENT PENDING’. It is presented with a plain grey canvas zippered pouch.
Condition report:
Good condition, exhibiting wear consistent with age and use. There is some finish loss on edges, and discoloration is visible on the wooden grips, particularly around the left grip screw. The canvas pouch shows minor wear.
