Description
A vintage box of Western 32-40 Winchester Center Fire Cartridges, containing 18 brass rifle cartridges. The vintage yellow cardboard box features a large red ‘X’ with ‘Western’ in a blue banner, and a ‘WARNING Keep out of reach of children.’ text on a white oval. Further visible text on the box identifies the contents as ’32-40 WINCHESTER’ caliber, ‘165 GRAIN SOFT POINT’ (or ‘165 GR. SOFT POINT’), and a numerical marking ‘3240.’ The cartridges are held within their original cardboard tray. Visible headstamps confirm ‘W-W’ (Winchester-Western) branding and ‘SP-40’ designation.
Condition report:
The cardboard box exhibits considerable wear, fading, scuffs, and dirt, consistent with age and handling. The cartridges show some light tarnishing or discoloration on the brass casings and bullet tips.
