Smith & Wesson .38 S&W Special Double-Action Revolver with 6" Barrel
Description
A Smith & Wesson double-action revolver, chambered in .38 S. & W. Special CTG, featuring a 6″ barrel and blued steel construction. The revolver is fitted with checkered wooden grip panels marked “FRAY-MERSHON GRIPS GENUINE CHIEF.” Visible markings on the barrel include “SMITH & WESSON” and “.38 S. & W. SPECIAL CTG”. The left side of the frame displays the manufacturer’s logo and “TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.”, while the right side is marked “MADE IN U.S.A. / MARCAS REGISTRADAS / SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MASS.” The serial number “K 39894” is present on the butt of the grip and under the barrel shroud. An additional number “29880” is visible under the barrel. The revolver features adjustable sights.
Condition report:
Good condition. The bluing exhibits minor wear consistent with handling and use, particularly on edges and high points. The wooden grip panels show minor surface wear and some light marks. No major damage, cracks, or significant pitting are immediately visible. Mechanical action appears to function correctly.
