80 Rounds Vintage Western Super X and Winchester Super-Speed .225 Winchester Ammunition
Description
A group of four vintage ammunition boxes containing 80 rounds of .225 Winchester 55 GR. PTD. SOFT POINT Center Fire Cartridges. One box is branded ‘Winchester Super-Speed’ and three are branded ‘Western Super X’ on their fronts, all clearly marked “Center Fire Cartridges.” Each box end flap details the contents as “225 Winchester 55 GR. PTD. SOFT POINT” with various codes (W2251 or 2251), and includes a “WARNING Keep out of reach of children.” The top of the Winchester box bears a handwritten name “Ludy,” and one of the Western boxes has a white sticker marked “$26.00.” One box is open, revealing twenty brass cartridges, each bearing “W-W SUPER 225” headstamps. The cartridges appear to be in good, unfired condition.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes exhibit moderate wear, creasing, and some discoloration consistent with age and storage. The cartridges are in good, unfired condition.
