Savage Model 24H-DL Combination Gun .22 LR over 20 GA
Description
A Savage Model 24H-DL break-action over-under combination gun, featuring a .22 Long Rifle barrel over a 20 Gauge 3-inch chambered shotgun barrel. It features blued steel barrels, a silver-colored metal receiver, and polished dark wood for the stock and forend. The forend exhibits a geometric pattern. Visible markings include “SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION WESTFIELD, MASS. U.S.A.,” “SAVAGE 24H-DL,” “.22 LONG RIFLE” on the top barrel, and “PROOF TESTED 20 GAUGE 3 INCH CHAMBER” on the bottom barrel. The receiver is embellished with engraved hunting scenes, depicting a flying game bird on the left side and a leaping fox-like animal on the right. The rifle is fitted with a single brass-colored trigger, an exposed hammer, and a black rubber or plastic buttplate marked “BOYD.” A folded black textile item, possibly a gun sock or cleaning cloth, is presented alongside the firearm.
Condition report:
Overall fair to good condition, showing signs of use and age. There is thinning of the bluing on the barrels, surface scratches, minor dings on the wood stock and forend, and some oxidation on the steel barrels. The receiver shows surface wear consistent with age.
