Description
A blued steel Smith & Wesson double-action revolver, featuring a 6″ barrel and a swing-out, six-chambered cylinder. The dark brown wooden grip panels are secured by a single brass-toned screw on each side. Markings on the top of the barrel read “SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PATENTED FEB. 6.06. SEPT. 14.09. DEC. 29.14”, while the left side of the barrel is marked “.38 S. & W. SPECIAL CTG”. The left side of the frame features the circular Smith & Wesson monogram logo with “TRADE MARK” and “REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.”, and “MADE IN U.S.A.” is stamped on the right side of the frame above the trigger guard. The serial number “845627” is stamped on the butt of the grip, and the assembly number “85420” is visible on the crane and its corresponding frame recess.
Condition report:
Apparent used condition. The frame exhibits significant bluing loss, scratching, and surface wear. The barrel retains more of its original finish but shows minor wear. The wooden grips appear well-preserved with minor handling marks. Hammer and trigger show wear consistent with use.
