Description
A dark-stained wooden writing table or desk, designed in a French Provincial or Rococo Revival style. It features a shaped top with a central wood panel framed by a contrasting decorative border, possibly burlwood veneer or faux-painted, with an inlaid-like pattern. The front apron includes a central drawer flanked by two smaller drawers, all detailed with shell and foliate carvings. The table stands on four carved cabriole legs terminating in pad or claw feet. Condition report:
Fair to good condition, consistent with age and use. Exhibits surface scratches, scuffs, and finish wear, most notably on the top surface. Minor abrasions to legs and apron.
