NAO by Lladro Porcelain Musical Figurine Boy at Desk Model 1403
Description
This glazed porcelain figurine is manufactured by NAO by Lladro in Spain. The piece depicts a young boy in a pink shirt seated at a stylized gray school desk in a daydreaming pose with his chin resting on his clasped hands while looking at an open book. The desk is decorated with scrollwork and a central foliate motif. The underside of the base features a red printed mark for NAO Hand Made in Spain by Lladro and a copyright mark for DAISA 1987. The base also shows an incised model number 1403 and an incised letter D. A small circular sticker with the numbers 02 and 520 is present alongside a faint gold-tone stamp. The figurine includes an integrated mechanical music box movement with a light-blue plastic winding key on the bottom.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or professional repairs are observed. Minor surface scuffing and darkened spots are present on the unglazed contact points of the feet, consistent with standard shelf wear.
