Antique Tramp Artisan Folk Art Vanity Box with Gilt Brass and Enamel Details
Description
Antique vanity box in the Tramp Artisan folk art style. Possibly a wedding gift. The outside is decorated with layers of carved wood, red velvet paneling, and brass and enamel appliques featuring the letters "KD" and "HW" under a crown with two cherubs. Enamel shamrock on the lid of vanity box with lions head clasp. The inside is lined with emerald green paper and decorated with a framed small mirror on the inside of the lid.
Measurements- H: 6 W: 12 D: 6.5 in
Condition- some damage to the wood. Faded gilt and enamel, missing leaf on the shamrock and one damaged foot.
