Miguel Covarrubias (Mexican, 1904 – 1957)
Original framed illustration made by the artist as a collaboration for Typee – A Romance Of Southern Seas by Herman Melville.
Complete with the book published by New York – The Limited Edition Club, 1953 where the illustration can be found on page 168.
The illustration is in great condition, the frame is slightly loose and chipped. The book has signs of wear consistent with age.
