Description
A Smith & Wesson 1905 Military & Police .38 Special double-action revolver. Constructed primarily of metal with a shiny finish, likely nickel-plated or chrome, complemented by smooth wooden grips featuring a checkered panel on each side. Visible markings include “SMITH & WESSON” on the left barrel, and “38 S.&W. SPECIAL CTG.” on the right barrel. The left frame is inscribed with “MADE IN U.S.A.”, “MARCAS REGISTRADAS”, “SMITH & WESSON”, and “SPRINGFIELD. MASS.”. A serial or part number “28842” is present on the cylinder crane.
Condition report:
Overall wear consistent with age and use. Scattered scratches and areas of finish loss are present on the metal components. Some pitting or discoloration is visible on the metal surfaces. The wooden grips appear largely intact with minor surface wear.
