Description
A collection of vintage Boy Scouts of America National Council No. 574 Yucca Pack and associated camping gear. The lot features a tan canvas rucksack with leather straps and buckles, stamped “BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA NATIONAL COUNCIL” and “BE PREPARED,” accompanied by a matching canvas item, likely a canteen cover. Also included is a folding pocket knife with a wooden handle, brass bolsters, and a stainless steel blade marked “STAINLESS CHINA” bearing a Boy Scouts emblem. The assortment further comprises a bright green and blue fishing lure marked “HOOKED ON SCOUTING,” a plastic-cased compass, a green-covered “FIELD BOOK FOR BOYS AND MEN” published by the Boy Scouts of America, and “The Golden Guide to Camping.” Completing the collection is an embroidered patch, dated “2003,” depicting a lake scene and identifying it as “Fort Steuben SCOUT RESERVATION, OHIO RIVER VALLEY COUNCIL BSA.”
