Lot 1071:
Description
A C.S. Shattuck Lincoln/Garfield Single Action Pocket Revolver, featuring a nickel-plated finish, fluted cylinder, and exposed hammer. The octagonal barrel is clearly marked “C.S. SHATTUCK HATFIELD MASS.” and “PAT NOV 4 1879” is visible below the barrel. The dark, likely hard rubber grips are ornately embossed, depicting a profile bust resembling Abraham Lincoln at the base and intertwined initials, possibly “ML” or “MA,” near the top. This model is often identified as a .32 caliber rimfire.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces show significant wear, including tarnishing, substantial loss of nickel plating, and visible pitting, particularly on the frame and cylinder. The grips show minor wear consistent with age. Overall, in fair to good antique condition.
