Description
A vintage J. C. Higgins multi-piece fishing rod, identified by the blue label on the butt section reading “J. C. Higgins,” “OUR OWN,” and “TUBULAR GLASS.” The rod sections are crafted from tubular fiberglass, presenting a varnished, wood-grain appearance. It is fitted with silver-toned metal ferrules and guides, secured by decorative black, yellow, and thin gold thread windings. The butt section features a cork handle and a silver-toned metal reel seat with a knurled locking ring. The rod is presented disassembled within its original mottled tan and brown fabric case.
Condition report:
