A Winchester Model 1892 lever-action rifle, manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. of New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A. The rifle features a blued steel barrel and receiver, complemented by a reddish-brown wooden stock and forend. Markings on the barrel and tang include “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A.”, “MODEL 1892”, “-WINCHESTER-“, “PAT OCT. 14, 1884”, and “44 W.C.F.”. The serial number “115355” is present on the underside.
