Description
A vintage cardboard box of Remington Arms-Union Metallic Cartridge Co. (UMC) .25-36 Marlin Smokeless Soft Point central fire rifle cartridges, containing 17 rounds with mixed headstamps. The utilitarian brown cardboard packaging, produced by Remington UMC of Bridgeport, Conn., U.S.A., is explicitly labeled for 20 cartridges and features various “Remington UMC” trademarks. An illustration of a 117-grain bullet is present on the box, along with a red wax-style guarantee seal indicating suitability for Marlin, Remington-UMC, Winchester, and Savage magazine rifles. The contents consist of 17 metallic cartridges, displaying varying degrees of tarnish and patination, with headstamps including both UMC and Winchester Repeating Arms Co. (WRA Co.).
